“Nobody was coming to help me with my homework either. I built InnEd so that no child in this town has to figure it out on their own, and so that no family has to trade their evenings for a grade.” William Thieu · founder, and usually the person who answers when you call
Why families choose us
Five things parents tell us made the difference.
-
01
A+ math results.
The grade is usually why a family calls, so let us start there. 95% of our students improved their math grade within two months of starting. Naomi came to us at 30% after falling behind during COVID, and was at 88% six weeks later. That happens because we do not drill this week’s test. We find the exact topic where it stopped making sense, often a year or two earlier, and rebuild from there. Four children to one tutor means nobody hides at the back, and their tutor reads the week’s practice before the next class, so a misunderstanding is caught in days rather than at report card time.

02
Confidence in math, and in themselves.
We track confidence, communication and collaboration alongside the math and report on all three every month, because it matters as much as the mark. A child who has decided they are bad at math will not put their hand up, however much they actually know. Groups are four children within a single grade, with a tutor who remembers being stuck on the same thing not long ago. Asking a question costs nothing here.

03
No more homework battles.
Class is built around the homework your child brings home that week, so it gets done with a tutor instead of at your kitchen table at nine o’clock. Between classes there is practice tied to that same lesson, already reviewed by their tutor before they walk in. Most families tell us the evening argument simply stops.

04
A schedule that fits your week.
Classes run Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 8:00pm, with four rooms going at once, so there is usually a slot that works. Four or eight classes a month, online or in person in Stouffville. Miss one and you take a make-up class.

And, in time, a liking for it.
Nobody can promise your child will love math. Most stop dreading it, though, and that is usually where everything else starts.

Sound familiar?
“I hate math. Can we just play Roblox instead?”
Most children who come to us aren’t bad at math. They’ve decided they’re bad at it, usually after one topic slipped past them and everything built on top of it stopped making sense.
No one here is made to feel small for not knowing something. We find the exact place it stopped making sense, and we start there, with a tutor who remembers being stuck on the same thing not that long ago.

A free half hour, and an honest answer
The consultation is a proper conversation, not a sales call. You’ll get an honest picture of where your child stands and what would help, and if we’re not the right fit for them, we’ll say so. We’d rather your child be somewhere that suits them than enrolled here.
